Water Buffalo are raised in Thailand as a source of beef. They are also used as beasts of burden. It is cultural for Asians to use all parts of the animal. Thus the carving of Water Buffalo Horn is a by product of the food industry. The natural color of the horn is black, but once in a while there will be an albino or white horn, although this is rare.
